Fernando Erquiaga, 86, of San Diego died Aug. 4.

He was born in Santa Rosalia, Mexico and was a San Diego police officer.

He served in the Army.

Survivors include his daughters, Michele Keil of San Diego and Victoria Hink of Redding; son, John Erquiaga of Orange County; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
